How does Calwise calculate meeting costs?

Calwise uses a salary-based calculation model. HR uploads employee names and annual salary data once during setup. When a calendar event starts, Calwise identifies the attendees, retrieves their hourly rate (annual salary ÷ 52 weeks ÷ hours per week), and multiplies it by meeting duration. The result is a real-time cost figure updated every minute during the meeting and stored in the analytics dashboard after the meeting ends. No call recordings or message content is ever accessed — Calwise only reads calendar metadata (attendees, start time, duration).

Does Calwise work with Microsoft Outlook and Google Calendar?

Yes. Calwise integrates natively with both Google Calendar and Microsoft Outlook via their official APIs. The browser extension is available for Chrome (Google Calendar users) and Microsoft Edge / Bing (Outlook users). Setup requires granting calendar read permissions — no admin credentials are needed. Both integrations are available on all paid plans; the Basic free plan includes one calendar connection.

Is salary data stored securely?

Yes. Calwise is built to enterprise-grade security standards and is compliant with GDPR and major privacy directives. Salary data is encrypted at rest and in transit. It is never shared with third parties, never used for advertising, and never visible to meeting attendees — only to authorised HR and Finance administrators in the dashboard.
